Resolve Estate ("we," "our," or "the Service") is committed to protecting the privacy of the law firms and individuals who use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the Service:

• Account Information: Name, email address, law firm name, and login credentials provided during registration.
• Case and Client Data: Estate case information, interested party records, asset and disbursement data, pleadings, correspondence, and other matter-related content that you enter into the Service.
• Billing Information: Subscription and payment records. All payment processing is handled directly by Stripe. We do not store, process, or have access to credit card numbers or bank account details.
• Usage Data: Basic technical information such as browser type and access logs, used solely for security monitoring and service improvement.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect exclusively to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Authenticate users and enforce firm-level data isolation
• Process subscription billing through Stripe
• Respond to support requests and communications
• Monitor for security threats and unauthorized access
• Improve the functionality and reliability of the Service

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose outside of operating the Service.

4. We Do Not Sell or Share Your Data

We do not sell, rent, lease, trade, or otherwise share your data or your clients' data with any third party for any commercial, marketing, or advertising purpose — ever.

Your case data, client information, and firm records are yours. They exist on our platform solely to support your use of the Service. We treat all data entered into Resolve Estate as strictly confidential.

The only third-party service that receives any data in connection with the Service is Stripe, which processes subscription payments. Stripe receives only the billing information necessary to process your subscription and is governed by its own privacy policy. No case data, client names, or estate records are ever transmitted to Stripe or any other third party.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

• Encryption at Rest: All stored data is encrypted at rest on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.
• Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is protected by TLS/SSL encryption.
• Firm Isolation: Each firm's data is logically isolated. Users can only access data belonging to their own firm. No cross-firm data access is possible.
• Access Controls: Role-based access controls limit what each user within a firm can see and do.

While we implement commercially reasonable safeguards, no electronic system is completely immune to risk. We encourage firms to use strong passwords and to promptly report any suspected unauthorized access.

6. Your Data Rights

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Resolve Estate. You have the following rights with respect to your data:

• Right to Access: You may request a summary or export of the data we hold for your firm at any time by contacting us at support@resolveestate.com.
• Right to Download: Upon request, we will provide a downloadable export of your firm's data in a portable format within a reasonable timeframe.
• Right to Deletion: You may request that we permanently delete all data associated with your firm's account at any time. Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will permanently destroy your data within 30 days and confirm completion. This action is irreversible.
• Right to Correct: You may update or correct account information directly within the Service or by contacting us.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@resolveestate.com. We will respond to all verified requests within 30 days.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your subscription is active. If your account is cancelled or terminated:

• You may request an export of your data within 30 days of termination.
• After 30 days, we reserve the right to permanently delete your firm's data from our systems.
• You may request early deletion at any time, as described in Section 6 above.

8. Email Communications

We may send you transactional emails related to your account, such as registration confirmations, password resets, billing receipts, and service notifications. We do not send unsolicited marketing or promotional emails.

If you receive any non-essential communication from us and wish to stop receiving it, you may opt out at any time by:

• Clicking the unsubscribe link included in any such email, or
• Contacting us directly at support@resolveestate.com

We will honor all opt-out requests promptly. We do not share, sell, or disclose your email address to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

9. Cookies and Tracking

Resolve Estate uses only essential session cookies necessary to maintain your logged-in state and protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics services that share data with third parties.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for use by law firms and legal professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
